I can go up a level, vows champion Tyson Fury

New world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury insists he underperformed in his victory over Wladimir Klitschko and expects a prospective rematch to be an easier fight.

Fury stunned the boxing world by dealing Klitschko his fourth loss and his first since 2004 via unanimous decision in Dusseldorf on Saturday to win the IBF, WBO, IBO and WBA (Super) heavyweight titles.

Briton Fury was perhaps the only person not surprised by his impressive victory having consistently vowed to end Klitschko's reign prior to the fight and believes he has not shown the full extent of his abilities.

"I don't think we've seen 65 percent of what I can do, to me that was a bad performance," he told Sky Sports News. "That wasn't as good as I can do. I can go up another level " can't wait to get on the to the next performance.

"I was on my toes last night for 12 rounds and the game plan really worked, the game plan was to offset him and I thought I executed the game plan to the best of my ability."

Klitschko has already stated his desire for a rematch and, asked if the Ukrainian will make good on those words and pursue a second bout, Fury said: "I think he will. I think he'll take the rematch.

"When he gets home and has a couple of weeks to think about it, he knows that was a one-sided fight.

"I think next time when we do have the rematch, it's going to be an easier fight. I'd love to come back to Germany, because where better to beat him than in his own back yard?"

Fury has no shortage of options for his next fight, with WBC champion Deontay Wilder already calling for a unification bout on Twitter.

But next up for the 27-year-old is a voluntary defence of his titles. He added: "When you win the world title you must be allowed a voluntary defence. That's what we're working on next."
