He tested positive in Alger, Algeria, and subsequent tests were also positive.

The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) moved on Friday to have Kumar withdrawn from the Games by Wrestling Australia.

In a statement, the AOC said: "The Australian Olympic Committee has asked Wrestling Australia to withdraw the nomination of athlete Vinod Kumar for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games following an anti-doping violation."

Kumar has qualified in the 66kg Greco-Roman.
