The logos of the two banks are being replaced with that of GCB Bank.

A GCB Bank official supervising the rebranding at the head office of UT Bank said they need to do this before the bank starts operating.

He added that they held a meeting with the staff of UT this morning."At the meeting we calmed them down and assured them there will be no lay offs yet."

Asked whether they are prepared for massive withdrawals this week due to the takeover.

The GCB official said "we think Ghanaians trust GCB enough. They should know their money is safe with us."
