The Weeknd bags 8 awards, see full list of winners

The Weeknd, Adele, Justin Bieber and twenty one pilots were the top winners at the just ended Billboard Music Awards held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The nigh also saw some great performances from DNCE, Fifth Harmony, Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, Pink, Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Kesha and Celine Dion. Madonna and Stevie Wonder performed “Nothing Compares 2 U”/”Purple Rain” -- a tribute to late Prince.

There was a surprise on the night. Meek Mill's"Dreams Worth More Than Money" album managed to beat Drake's"If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late", Drake & Future's"What A Time To Be Alive", Dr. Dre's"Compton" and Kendrick Lamar's acclaimed "To Pimp A Butterfly" album to cling the "Top Rap Album" award.
