Moisturizing is an important step in our skincare routine especially for women who apply makeup daily. The right moisturizer helps keep your skin healthy and looking its best.

Regular moisturizing also helps to nourish your skin in the long term, potentially slowing the signs of aging. Moisturizing can be an effective method for preventing eczema outbreaks, as well as soothing them if they do occur.

Here are four natural moisturizers for hydrated, glowing skin:

  • Aloe vera

Aloe vera is also a natural and resourceful alternative to getting gorgeous skin.  Its antibacterial, soothing properties make it perfect for a variety of cures, plus it’s gentle on sensitive skin and packed with vitamins, enzymes, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants such as vitamins A (beta-carotene), C and E, B12, folic acid, and choline.

Carefully cut and peel an aloe vera leaf to expose the gel inside, then apply to skin.

  • Avocados

Avocado face masks renowned for nourishing and revitalizing the skin. Made from natural food,  it is free from synthetic ingredients and chemicals, which tends to make them less allergenic and irritating than commercial products.

Their high levels of fats and vitamins like A, D and E help skin retain moisture and work as anti-agers. Eat a ripe avocado and then rub the inner side of the peel lightly on your face.

Let the avocado residue sit for 15 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.

  • Shea butter
