The Upper East Region of Ghana, located in the north, is must place to visit with your family for a weekend getaway. The Region stands as the second smallest region in Ghana but very peaceful and calm.

Bolgatanga, its capital, is the only place that is known by many that haven’t visited the Upper East Region. It has another major town in the region including Navorongo, Paga, Bawku, Zebilla.

The Upper East Region has incredible tourist sites and beautiful features that meet the eye. The popular Naa Gbewaa’s shrine is located in this astounding land. The Upper East Region Museum, a church built with mud located in Navrongo is worth visiting.
