Hajj pilgrims airlifted to Saudi Arabia after being stranded for hours
The over 500 pilgrims, who were due for Mecca on Friday were left stranded and frustrated at the Tamale Sports Stadium after the plane that was to airlift them developed a fault, the Hajj board said.

Vice President Dr Mahamadu and the Hajj board worked around the clock to ensure that another plane is made available for the Hajj pilgrims.
"First batch of 2017 Hajj pilgrims boarding their flight for Jeddah. May Allah be with them and bring them back safely," Dr Bawumia announced on Twiiter.

He also urged the pilgrims to be good ambassadors of Ghana.
