Gregory Afoko to reappear in court today

One of the suspects in the Adams Mahama murder case, Gregory Afoko has been remanded to police custody.

The prime suspects in the murder of the Upper East regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Adams Mahama, will today, Tuesday June 9, 2015, reappear before the Accra Magistrate court hearing the case.

Gregory Afoko and Musa Essa are standing trial for the murder of Upper East Region chairman of the party, Adams Mahama.

They have been charged with conspiracy to commit crime and murder. Read more

According to the charge sheet presented by the Police, one other man, Asabke Aladi who is believed to be his accomplice is currently on the run.

Gregory Afoko is believed to be the brother of the NPP’s national chairman Paul Afoko.

At the last court sitting, the Presiding judge remanded both accused persons into Police custody after rejecting bail applications by their lawyers. Read more

The court is today expected to give direction on the matter.
