Three more people have been arrested over the leakage of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) papers.

This brings the total number of people arrested in connection with the BECE leakage to thirteen.
Deputy Minister of Education, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, who confirmed the arrest stated that investigations are still ongoing to ensure all those responsible are penalized.

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) last Wednesday announced the cancellation of five papers in the ongoing BECE on the basis that they have been compromised. They are Papers 2 of English Language, Religious and Moral Education, Integrated Science Mathematics and Social Studies. The Bureau of National Investigation (BNI) was subsequently directed to investigate into the cause of the massive leakage.

The leaked papers, according to WAEC, have been scheduled to be re-taken on June 29 and 30, 2015.
