Addressing a press conference, the Executive Secretary of CLOGSAG, Dr. Bampoe Addo, said that they will not call off their intended strike until their demands are met.

He said even though they began negotiations with government some few weeks ago, government is yet to give them a positive response.

CLOGSAG had earlier threatened to embark on the strike if government does not heed to its call.

Members of the group had argued that government had paid interim premiums to other category of workers but has failed to extend the payments to their members.

The Executive secretary of the group complained that a subcommittee formed to facilitate the smooth transition of the market premium focused only on the health and education sectors and relegated CLOGSAG to the background.
