Devnik Ghana Limited, a pharmacy shop at Osu in Accra has been gutted by fire when a staff attempted to fill the generator set with fuel.

According to reports, the generator set was already running due to a power outage and had run low on fuel. The worker’s attempt to refill led to the unfortunate incident as he failed to turn the generator off before filling with the fuel.

The worker sustained minor injuries and has since been rushed to the hospital for treatment while several of the medicines in the shops have been affected.

Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service are currently at the scene to put the situation under control.
