Ghana’s Minister of Defence, Dominic Nitiwul has advised former President John Mahama and some of his appointees to move away from the military lands they are occupying as those lands are under contention.

“I am advising [ex-President Mahama] that if I were him, I will not live there,” he said.

Mr Nitiwul was addressing journalists at the Meet the Press Series on Thursday, December 7, 2017.

The location of the land is yet to be disclosed.

However, Mr Nitiwul who is also the Bimbilla Member of Parliament said that particular land is expected to serve as a boundary between civilians and the military.

He, therefore, believes that it is not advisable for Mr Mahama to occupy “a land that the Armed Forces have interest in”.
