Suspect in Royal Motors daylight robbery in court

The suspect, named Osmane Salame, stormed the North Industrial based automobile company with other accomplices to rob the company of their previous day sales.

He was picked up by the police last week at Ashalaja in the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.

On March 2, Osmane and his gang snatched a Toyota Camry around the Industrial Area and headed to Royal Motors to rob a bullion van that was about to pick the sales of Royal Motors.

Osman Salame was arraigned before the court yesterday on the charges of conspiracy and robbery.The facts of the case are still scanty as the police are further probing the matter, so his plea was not taken.

So far three persons have been arrested in connection with the daylight robbery.

Two of the suspects – all policemen – picked earlier, were helping with information that could lead to the arrest of other suspects.
