Amidu's job of going after corrupt officials starts today

Mr Amidu, a former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, is believed to have taken over the official files from the investigative authorities and is set to charge all those who might be implicated in the scandal.

Amidu, who has passed vetting by parliament and approved by the President will complement corruption investigations by the Attorney General's office.

It is being speculated that Martin Amidu is set to go after Alfred Agbesi Woyome as his first assigment. He reiterated his desire on this particular case during his vetting at the Appointment Committee, he sad, "If we are going to prosecute, we should prosecute everybody involved and not Woyome alone,”
