NDC serial caller arrested over claims Nana Addo smokes 'wee'

Appiah Stadium has been transferred to Criminal Investigations Department at the police headquarters in Accra.

The Ashanti Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Juliana Obeng confirmed this in an interview on Accra-based Neat FM Tuesday.

She said the motive for the arrest, she noted will be will be determined by the CID in Accra.

Allegations

Appiah Stadium who was supposed to be part of the "Save Mahama Campaign" and a street demonstration in the United States of America was refused a visa by the embassy.

The demonstration, however, came off without him.

Scores of Ghanaians in New York, USA on Thursday, September 21, demonstrated against President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

According to the demonstrators, cost of living has risen sharply under the NPP administration making life unbearable for Ghanaians.

Appiah Stadium registering his disappointment for not being part of the protest said he would have wrapped a substance, puffed the smoke through his nostrils to show that Nana Addo smokes if he had had the opportunity.

He alleged that "It is sad I was denied a visa, I would have wrapped a substance and smoked in front of the president and his entourage and show them that he smokes."

Apology

However, he has rendered an unqualified apology to the President.

According to him, the allegation was baseless and borne out of malice thus the President should not punish him.

"I know I have erred and have insulted the President. In fact, I have known no peace ever since I made those comments and I don’t want to go through such experience again. I will silly so they should forgive me especially Nana Addo," he pleaded.

Meanwhile, the General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia has said he still believes President Akufo-Addo smokes marijuana.

According to him, Nana Akufo-Addo did not just smoke a lot of the illegal herb, but smoke early to get high always.
