Buhari at the 61st Independence celebration of Ghana has pledged to help President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to fight corruption unrelentingly until all the facets of government are cleansed and to make a new dawn for the economy of Ghana.
He said "I congratulate you on your efforts to fight corruption which has eaten into the public fibre…Your Excellency I can assure you that you have a good partner in me in tackling endemic corruption."
Reacting to Buhari's declaration, Bruce said the president should first show example of fighting corruption in Nigeria and not opposition.
In a tweet, Bruce wrote: "Rather than promise to help Ghana fight corruption, show by example that you are fighting corruption, and not opposition in Nigeria. If corruption is increasing in your nation, you make yourself a laughing stock if you promise to fight it in another nation. Charity begins at home."
"The major challenge facing President Buhari’s anti corruption war is that for almost three years, it has been delivering activity instead of delivering results. They have been making noise instead of making news. They‘ve been practicing propaganda instead of setting proper agenda," he added.
