Abu Jinapor and Asenso-Boakye have since been cleared of any wrongdoing by the CID.

A-Plus has labeled deputy Chief of Staffs Francis Asenso-Boakye and Samuel Abu Jinapor as stupid and corrupt appointees.

According to him, the seven months of President Akufo-Addo’s government have been good so far except for appointing two criminally minded people as Chief of Staff.

He said "NPP delegate’s congress…. 7 months of NPP government. So far so good except appointing some very corrupt officials including the two very stupid deputy chief of staffs. It’s amazing how Nana was able to appoint thieves whose level of stupidity is the same. Arrogant and corrupt fools. You think you’ll be in power forever. Even John Mahama I was not afraid of him then you."

The Police CID launched an investigations into the allegations and described as baseless.

A statement signed by Director General of CID of the Ghana Police Service COP Bright Oduro described as baseless and unsubstantiated allegations of thievery and corruption leveled against the two, adding that their intervention in a Korle Bu Teaching Hospital deal "was transparent, borne out of the protection of public interest and consistent with their duties as Chiefs of Staff."

But a leaked tape containing the voice of A Plus and the female police officer contradicts the contents of final report of the CID.

In the audio, the police officer said "as for the corruption aspect of it, from what you said and what we’ve gone to confirm, you wouldn’t be too far from right to say that this is what happened, but we need to manage… the people are your people. We need to find the best way to ensure that Korle Bu works the way we all want it to work."

The Police officer added that "you need somebody who’ll be neutral to tell them exactly what is there for them to understand and I wish I could have an audience with the President himself. Because it looks like most of the things doesn’t get to him…yes I feel sad for him."

She said: "I feel he has good intentions but he’s not going to achieve it."

A Plus on the other side, said he has achieved his aim. "For me I think I have achieved my aim"
