Three teenagers arrested in Kumasi for allegedly defrauding a Brazilian of $2,150

According to the, Ashanti Regional Police Commander, ACP Ampofo Duku the three ‘Sakawa’ boys were apprehended at the Kumasi airport.

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested three alleged internet fraudsters who has defrauded a Brazilian Dionisio Karmakis of $2,150.

According to the, Ashanti Regional Police Commander, ACP undefined the three ‘Sakawa’ boys were apprehended at the Kumasi airport.

Isaac Boakye Yiadom, the alleged fraudster and leader of the gang impersonated as a woman and forged an invoice of $2,150 supposedly to be endorsed by as his travelling expenses to Greece where Karmakis resides.

Karmakis upon confirmation with Africa Origin Travel and Tours discovered Isaac who claimed to be a woman is a man and a fraudster.

The officers of Africa Origin and Karmakis collaborated with the Police Service and busted the alleged fraudsters at the Kumasi Airport.

Nadia, a staff of Africa Origin disguised herself as an agent of Karmakis who handed over the cash to Abigail Nyarko, Isaac’s wife in the company of Isaac, Richard Addai, Gideon Kyeremanteng and Stephen Oppong a driver at the Kumasi Airport where the police arrested them.
