A galamsey operator has cursed the government whiles watching his two excavators burn by the anti-galamsey taskforce in a video which has gone viral on social media.

The joint military and police taskforce has defied the Minerals and Mining Act 2015. Section 99, as they confiscated and set ablaze six excavators on Tuesday morning at Bamso and Kwabeng, all in the Eastern Region.
The galamsey operator who comes from Akwatia whiles watching the excavators he said to have hired set ablaze claims to have worked for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to come to power.
He said he would soon be a laughing stock in the community.
