My actions make NPP attractive - Kwabena Agyepong 

This statement from the general secretary comes at a time many think the NPP is not living up to the role as the biggest opposition party in the country.

 

The General Secretary of the NPP, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong has indicated that all his actions in the party are geared towards making the party attractive to Ghanaians.

"I came to serve my country and my party. What I have to do to make NPP attractive to people to join and have faith, that we can run the country when given the power is what I am interested in" He said

This statement from the general secretary comes at a time many think the NPP is not rising up to its role as the biggest opposition party in the country. The heightened internal wrangling in the party, according to political analysts, has made the NPP unattractive to voters.

The NPP scribe has come under attack lately from some members of his party for hijacking the party and running it as though it is his personal property says his intentions for the party are noble.

In May this year, there were calls for him and the national chairman Paul Afoko to resign after they were accused of playing a key role in events leading to the death of the party's Upper East Regional chairman, Adam Mahama.

Speaking on OK Fm today (5/08/15), Mr. Agyepong said his duty is to get Nana Akuffo Addo elected as president of Ghana in 2016. He said he can only be judged and assessed afterwards.

"I know God will bless the work we are doing. We will continue to work hard and speak well for Ghanaians to vote massively for Nana Addo that is when people can assess my work."
