Black Stars hold training on day two ahead of clash against Ethiopia

Kwesi Appiah put his players through training exercises on Thursday at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, Accra on Thursday.

The second day training session which began at 3:30pm and ended at 5:30pm saw ten foreign based players and seven local based players take part of the exercise.

The 1st assistant coach of the Black Stars, Ibrahim Tanko took the team through sprint and dribbling drills, while Richard Kingston rehearsed goalkeeping techniques with the goalkeepers.

The team was afterwards split into two to play quarter pack game under the supervison of head coach  Kwesi Appiah.

Andre Ayew, Abdul Majeed Waris, Afriyie Acquah, Daniel Amartey, Frank Acheampong, Jordan Ayew, Rashid Sumaila, Yaw Yeboah and Thomas Agyapong and Ebenezer Ofori, completed the ten foreign based players who were present for training.

All the seven local players who were named in Kwesi Appiah's provisional 30-man squad participated in the session.

The absentees were Adam Kwarasey (Brondby), Harrison Afful (Columbus Crew, USA) Lumor Agbenyenu (Munich 1860, Germany), John Boye (Sivasspor, Turkey), Jonathan Mensah (Columbus Crew, USA), Jerry Akaminko ( Eskiserhispor, Turkey), Mohammed Abu (Columbus Crew, USA), Isaac Sackey (Alanyaspor, Turkey), Thomas Partey (Atletico Madrid, Spain), Kingsley Sarfo (Sirius, Sweden), Godsway Donyoh (Nordjaelland, Denmark), Asamoah Gyan (Al Alhi, UAE), and Raphael Dwamena (FC Zurich, Switzerland).
