Philip Boampong: “I want to quit Hearts of Oak”

The defender for the Phobians believes Coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi does prefer his style of football

Philip Boampong is uncertain about his future with Accra Hearts of Oak and has therefore called on the management of the club to take a decision on his future before the transfer window closes.

Boampong hasn’t seen much playing time since, the Japanes-American coach took over the club, which makes the player feels he is not wanted by club, so the earlier they take a decision on him the better.

“I don’t any problem with the coach. Every coach has his choice of player.  Maybe he like the way I play, but another coach might like my play. The management should decide my fate in the club now, but should rather wait until the transfer window closes,” Boampong told Nhyira FM.

“They should know I am an experienced player and I have already made a good name for myself as a player and it is not that I have retrogressed, I am still playing actively.

“It was Monday that management told me to start training and I will hear from them later, but if the person doesn’t like the way you play, he won’t field you, no matter what.

“I want to even quit the club, but I don’t won’t to push it".
