The Black Stars skipper and his deputy have been listed among 50 Most Influential Young Ghanaians for the year 2017.

Asamoah Gyan finished 11th on the list, making him the highest ranked sportsman, with his deputy at the national team Andre Ayew coming 18th.

The rest of the sportsmen who got a place on the list of nominees are Christian Atsu- 23rd, Kwadwo Asamoah- 30th and Akwesi Frimpong-38th

All the five sportsmen who broke into the list of nominees are footballers, except Akwasi Frimpong- an athlete. It is however, surprising why young Ghanaian boxer Isaac Dogboe who was outstanding last year, winning a WBO title, missed out.
