The atmosphere was different against Guinea - Maxwell Konadu

Black Stars B coach Maxwell Konadu says his side played the game against Guinea in a more relaxed setting as compared to that of the opening game against The Gambia

Black Stars B beat their Guinean counterparts by 2-0 with goals coming from Stephen Sarfo and Kwame Kizito.

Speaking to the media, Coach Maxwell Konadu did state that the side were able to get a more convincing win because the players were more relaxed than that of the previous game against the Gambia.

The tournament opener between Ghana and The Gambia had the latter eliminated which qualified Ghana into a group alongside Guinea, Mali and Nigeria.

“The tension, pressure and atmosphere was quite different from the game against Gambia”. Yourememberit was a knockout beforethegroupstage.”

“This time round the boys were relaxed and we managed to calm them down before the game started” Coach Maxwell Konadu admitted

The game against Guinea received more patronage than that of the other games. Maxwell did go on to speak about the impact of the fans on the game

“The fans were there and the pressure was there but it was different. Initially, I said that that playing the group stage is quite different from playing in the knockout and that is what happened today.”

The Black Stars B will go on to face Mali on Saturday 16th of September at the Cape Coast Stadium before finally face their Nigerian Counterparts on Monday the 18th of September at the same venue.
