How Ghana can easily qualify after 1-5 win over Congo

Ghana’s quest to secure a fourth consecutive FIFA World Cup appearance is in the balance after they hammered Congo 1-5 in Brazzaville on Tuesday.

Ghanaian soccer loving fans would want to enjoy the great feel they had in the three previous FIFA World Cups, so they will as usual pick their calculators and start the addition and subtraction.

Let us start from match day four

Ghana defeated Congo 1-5 to amass five points, whereas Egypt will host Uganda in Alexandria at 6:00pm, so the best results Ghanaians will be expecting from that tie is a draw which will ensure Egypt accumulate seven (7) points, with Uganda maintaining their top spot in group E with eight (8) points.

This is how the table will look like after Egypt and Uganda settle for a draw in Alexandria

Match day five

Ghana will jet off to Kampala to take on Uganda on 7th October, 2017. The Black Stars should pick all the maximum points in that tie and even if Egypt secure a win at home against Congo, the hopes of the West African powerhouse will still be on ahead of the final day clashes.

This is how the table would look like if Ghana edge Uganda and Egypt also beat Congo

The Black Stars will be trailing Egypt two points and will be on the same points with the Cranes heading to the final day of the qualifiers in November. Fortunately, they have a tie with Egypt the group leaders at home and should they win, they will go top of group E, with 11 points, which will be the same as Uganda if they also beat Congo.
