The Columbus Crew duo are on the verge of missing out on Ghana’s FIFA World Cup qualifier against Uganda on Friday.
Harrison Afful and Jonathan Mensah received knocks when they featured for their Major Soccer League (MLS) side Columbus Crew over the weekend.
They will undergo test to ascertain the severity of the injuries, before they are cleared to join their the camp of the Black Stars.
Kwesi Appiah must be sweating at the moment due to the growing list of injuries in his team. Before he announced his provisional 26-man squad for tie, he had excluded John Boye and Afriyie Acquah who are battling with injuries.
Asamoah Gyan and Thomas Agyapong who were included in the list have been left out after failing to recover on time for the Uganda clash.
And as it stands now Mensah and Afful might not join the team when they face off against Uganda.
The Black Stars are currently in Kenya preparing for their tie against Uganda on Friday.
