Coach James Kwesi Appiah went on further to explain that:

"You see, you learn a lot and there are so many things that happen in the background. In my first spell, I was afraid of so many things like getting the sack and all.

"But now, I am not afraid of getting the sack. I am not afraid of taking any decision. There is nothing I am afraid of now because at the end of the day, it does not go well, it is all on me.

"I always do all I need to in order to get the best out of my work. People can suggest but they cannot interfere with my work.”

Kwesi Appiah went on to react to views of Ghanaians who believe he failed to call Andre and Jordan Ayew is based on personal issues.

"I personally do not want to dwell on names of players who have not been invited. I do not even listen to the radio or watch Ghanaian television. I choose to focus on what I want to do with the national team.

"I always have a good idea of what I want to do and no one can instruct me on my course of action. No player is out of my team and no one is guaranteed a permanent place. By next year, I will make sure I have my team so we prepare for the 2019 AFCON tournament.”
