Former Black Stars psychologist tells Kotoko to stop the use of juju

Prof. Mintah has poured out his frustration over why clubs like Kotoko invest in juju men instead of a psychologist

Ex-Psychologist of the Black Stars Professor Mintah has lashed out at Kumasi Asante Kotoko claiming that they value the work of juju men over a phycologist.

Prof. Mintah has made the comment in the wake of the Porcupine Warrior’s 1-0 win over CARA Brazzaville in a game which recorded five penalties.

He believes the absence of a psychologist will hunt Asante Kotoko ahead of the first leg in CARA especially after wasting three penalty kicks.

"I sometimes wonder why clubs in Ghana behave in a certain way. A team like Kotoko doesn't have a psychologist to work with from the beginning of the league to Africa but waste money on unimportant things like Juju but that's not it," Mintah fumed on Oyerepa FM.

"The two most important structures in the technical aspect of football is a physical instructor and the last is the psychologist, and in between are the coaches but for a Ghanaian club like Kotoko there's no one like a fitness coach and no psychologist and that's why these results."
