The newly appointed Miners coach has hinted at a lack of commitment from some players.
The Miners have endured a season to forget so far, with the club rooted at the bottom of the league after 12 rounds of matches.
The club’s poor run of form led to Bashir Hayford resigning as coach last month, with C.K Akunnor replacing him.
And the recently appointed Ashanti Gold coach believes his players must change their mindset if the side is to survive relegation.
“The players need to change their attitude and mentality,” C.K Akunnor is quoted as saying by GhanaSoccernet.com.
The former Hearts of Oak boss also questioned the readiness of some players, while suggesting that they were not prepared to “die” for the club.
“It is unprofessional if they are not ready to die for the club. There is lot of work to be done and we need to fix players who are ready to play.”
Ashanti Gold will face Medeama on Wednesday as C.K Akunnor goes in search of a first win since taking charge of the club.
