Eight Hearts players including Vincent Atingah and Abbey set to leave

The Phobians have eight players who are yet to extend their contract according to reports.

Players reported to have their current deals ran out or nearing expiration include club skipper Thomas Abbey, Kwame Kizito, dependable defender, Vincent Atingah, etc

Pulse Sports can confirm that Abbey's contract has expired and can leave the club for free if the Phobians fail to reach an agreement with him and so are other key players.

The former Windy Professionals player bagged 14 goals last season to finish as the top scorer of Hearts of Oak, while Vincent Atingah was rated as one of the best defenders of the just ended league, whereas Kwame Kizito rediscovered his form to keep a regular starting spot in the team's attack.

Hearts of Oak would have to augment their squad to restore their past glory after having failed to win any major domestic trophy since the 2008-09 Ghana Premier League season.

Hence, it would be a big blow to lose these players who have been untouchables for the club this season and played important roles min helping the 20 times champions of Ghana to finish third on the league log this season.
