The newly-promoted side want to sign Afriyie Acquah in January.

According to a report by Italian tabloid Calciomecarto, the newly-promoted side have identified the Ghanaian as ideal for their midfield and could make a move as early as in the January transfer window.

Acquah has always made known his intention of favoring a move to England, and was heavily linked with a move to Championship side during the summer.

It is unclear, though, if the latest report concerning Brighton’s interest in Acquah is concrete, with both the player and his agent yet to either confirm or deny.

The 25-year-old has been on the books of Serie A side Torino since 2015, making a totalof 49 appearances and scoring four goals.
