The Ghana skipper says, he can’t be forced into an untimely retirement at the Black Stars
Gyan failed to glitter when Ghana drew 1-1 against Congo in Kumasi to put their FIFA World Cup qualification in danger.
There have been calls for the former Sunderland striker and the Ayew brothers-Andre Ayew and Jordan Ayew to retire from the team since they have nothing better to offer the team any longer.
Asamoah Gyan has replied his critics that he will not be forced into retirement.
“I know I won’t play the national team till the end of my life so I will one-day say goodbye to the nation,” Gyan told Angel FM.
“My records for the national team can’t be erased, yes it can’t be erased and no one can retire me from the national is only God and time.”
Asamoah Gyan is currently Ghana’s all-time top scorer, having scored 51 goals in 105 games.
