I will quit Kotoko if they bribe a referee- Steve Polack

Steve Polack has threatened to resign as the head coach of the Kumasi giants should the club bribe a referee.

The Porcupine Warriors earned a 1-0 win against CARA Brazzaville in a game that witnessed five penalty kicks.

Kotoko have come under intense criticism for their poor display and some have even accused them of bribing the match officials, but  coach Polack has rubbished it.

“I looked at their coach and he was looking at me as if I was the one giving the penalties. But I am not a referee and I think it’s a disgrace for anyone to say I bribed the referee,” Polack is quoted by Ghanasoccernet.com

"Don’t say that I bribed the referee because I would never do that."

"No club I have managed has ever bribed a referee, and if I get word of any such activity I will walk, and I don’t care how big the club is because I don’t want to be involved in such things.”

Polack extended his contract with the Porcupine Warriors in November after leading them to MTN FA Cup triumph last season.
