Gladson Awako in talks with Asante Kotoko

The midfielder who was an integral part of the U-20 team that won the 2009 African U-20 championship in Rwanda.

The midfielder did not make it to the World cup in Egypt that same year.

Awako played for Hearts of Lions from 2008-2010 before moving to Recreativo de Huelva. He came back within a year to play for hearts of Lions and then moved to Berekum Chelsea in 2011.

Berekum Chelsea’s participation in the 2012 CAF Champions League caught the eye of Congolese giants TP Mazembe and that got him signed on the team.

Awako is now a free agent and confirmed to Asempa Fm that he is looking forward to joining the 24 time league champions in the coming days.

He did say “I have spoken to a few people at Kotoko but we have not finalised anything yet.”

He did say “Kotoko is one of the big clubs in Ghana and Africa so I will welcome the chance to feature for them and for any other team in Ghana,” He concluded
