Ghanaian midfielder would have loved to play alongside Ngolo Kante

Ghanaian ex-Chelsea midfielder has expressed his desire to have played alongside Chelsea midfielder Ngolo Kante.

A number of former players who played in Chelsea’s midfield which include Frank Lampard and Claude Makalele have sang praises of the combative and energetic French midfielder.

Micheal Essien was speaking to Goal.com when he revealed that he would like pair in the midfield with the player of Malian descent.

"I would have loved to have faced Kante or play with him," Essien said.

"He is such a great player. I am happy he is at Chelsea and he is enjoying his game. It would be a very physical battle if I met him on the pitch.

"He has great energy, he never stops running, but he doesn't run for the sake of running."

Ngolo Kante was 2017 PFA player of the year as he led Chelsea to win the 2016/2017 English Premier League.

Micheal Essien won two Premier League titles, 4 FA Cups and 1 Champions League with Chelsea.
