Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has been ruled out of the Black Stars AFCON double header against Mozambique with a thigh injury.

Gyan limped out of the team's final training session on Wednesday morning and the worst has been confirmed with an official telling Pulse.com.gh the striker would be out for five days.

"We thought he could recover but he needs a lot more time to recover so we have decided not to risk him at this stage."
