Ghana could have put 4 past Mexico – Kwesi Appiah
The Black Stars coach believes poor finishing from his charges cost Ghana against Mexico.

Despite facing a second-string Mexican side – as the first team is currently playing in the Confederations Cup – the Black Stars could still not defeat their opponents.

El Tri were the dominant side in the opening exchanges and deservedly took the lead after John Boye clumsily brought down Elias Henandez in the penalty area in the 32nd minute.
From the resulting penalty, Henandez sent goalkeeper Richard Ofori the wrong way to open the scoring.
The Black Stars began to warm themselves into the game and had their chances to equalise, but a lack of cutting edge meant they could not find the net.
Kwesi Appiah and his men have subsequently faced criticisms from a section of Ghanaians, however, the Black Stars coach believes his side played well.

According to him, the Black Stars were unlucky not to have put four goals past the Mexicans.
“Sometimes if it is not your day, it’s not your day,” Appiah told reporters after the game.“Considering the way we played, we could have had at least three or four goals easily. But unfortunately, we could not finish.”
The Black Stars will next face USA in another friendly on July 1.
