'Important' Andre Ayew is not leaving Swansea City

Swansea City manager Francesco Guidolin says Andre Ayew will still be his player at the end of the January transfer window

The Black Stars vice-captain has been linked with a host of clubs since transferring from French Ligue 1 side Olympique Marseille to the English Premier League at the beginning of the season.

Andre Ayew is Swansea City’s top scorer this season with eight goals from 22 Premier League appearances. Sunderland were reported to be interested and were preparing a £10 million plus Fabio Borini bid for the Ghana international.

But Swansea City new boss Guidolin said of the Swansea City top scorer:

“Yes, he [Andre Ayew] will be a Swansea player. He is important for us, he is a good player. He is too important for our team [to leave].”

Liverpool are also keeping tabs on the former Olympique Marseille player and could make a transfer bid for him in the summer.
