Ghanaian and co denied Premier League title at Old Trafford

Jeffrey Schlupp and his Leicester City teammates will have to wait until Monday to see if the results between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur will make them Premier League Champions after being denied at Old Trafford

Leicester City made the trip for the away game needing just three points to clinch the 201/2016 English Premier League title.

Jeffrey Schlupp and his teammates could however secure just a point in the game against Manchester United coming from behind to draw 1-1.

Anthony Martial opened the scoring of the game putting home team Manchester United 1-0 up after eight minutes of play.

Wes Morgan however drew level nine minutes later to send both teams into the interval with a goal apiece.

Manchester United and Leicester City attacked each other at equal measure in the second half but neither sides could find the back of the net again.

Leicester City had Daniel Drinkwater sent off with four minutes of regulation time to play but Claudio Ranieri’s Premier League leaders held on to their point.

Jeffrey Schlupp played 77 minutes of the game before he was replaced by Marc Albrighton. Daniel Amartey however could not make it off the bench for the Manchester United game.

Schlupp and co still are favourites to win the English Premier League. The Foxes could be crowned Champions on Monday even before their next league fixture against Everton.

Second placed Tottenham Hotspur travel to Stamford Bride to play London rivals Chelsea on Monday night. A defeat or draw for Spurs will mean Leicester City are Champions of the Premier League with two games to spare.
