AC Milan make Coppa Italia final with Ghanaian midfielder involved

Kevin-Prince Boateng helped his AC Milan side thrash Alessandria to make it to the final stage of the Coppa Italia

The German-born Ghanaian made a substitute appearance to play a little over 30 minutes of the game, replacing Giacomo Bonaventura.

Jeremy Menez opened the scoring for the game after 20 minutes of play with Alessio Romagnoli adding a second for AC Milan four minutes later.

Jeremy Menez completed a brace to round up the goals for the first half of the second leg tie.

Alessio Romagnoli resumed the scoring after the break, scoring his second to send AC Milan 4-0 up against Alessandria.

Mario Balotelli scored the last goal of the game as his team won by five goals without reply in the semi-final of the Coppa Italia.

AC Milan have qualified to the final stage of the competition with a 6-0 aggregates scoreline and are set to play either Juventus or Inter Milan in the final game.

Kwadwo Asamoah’s Juventus lead Inter Milan by three goals to nil from the first leg of the semi-final tie. The two teams will play their second game on Wednesday in a bid to make the final.
