The Porcupine Warriors came close to scoring in the first half yet they fluffed all the vital chances that came their way. Hearts also came into picture in some moments of the first 45 minute.

After the interval Asante Kotoko made the game one sided, as they pinned Hearts of Oak to their own half with incessant pressure.

The brightest chance that was created was a cross from Augustine Safah which found Baba Mahama, yet his header hit the side post to give the visitors some relief.

The likes of Emmanuel Gyamfi, Saddick Aams had their turns, but they couldn’t break the deadlock.

Asante Kotoko fans shouted at the Hearts of Oak players to get them confused and that seeming had a toll on them during the penalty shootout as they wasted their first two kicks
