Ghanaian defender returns to starting line-up in Chelsea draw

The Ghanaian who made a blunder against Southampton last weekend had to make way for Kennedy in the starting line-up for Chelsea’s midweek game before coming on as a substitute.

Baba however started and played the full game against Stoke City as his Chelsea team could only take a point away from Mark Hughes’ team.

Diego Costa missed the game for Chelsea after sustaining an injury according to his manager. His replacement upfront Bertrand Traore scored for Chelsea in the first half as the home team went into the interval leading by 1-0.

Stoke City kept their cool in the second half and finally got a point out of the game with Mame Biram Diouf breaking hearts at Stamford Bridge with a goal five minutes to the end of regular time to put the game at 1-1.
