Majeed Waris was handed a start in the game against Andre and Jordan Ayew’s former club and went on to play in the entire duration of the game.

The Black Stars striker opened the scoring of the game after 34 minutes of play to send his FC Lorient side 1-0 up into the first half break.

Lorient however could not hold on to the lead with Mauricio Isla equalizing for Olympique Marseille just a minute into the start of the second half.

Neither side was able to score again in the French Ligue 1 game as Lorient shared the spoils with Marseille with a 1-1 final score line.
