Politics destroyed my acting career - Maame Dokono

Grace Omaboe known in showbiz as Maame Dokono has revealed her political ambitions curtailed all job opportunities for her in the entertainment industry. Maame Dokono added, "I wish I could do the fireside again you know, the story telling".

"By the fire side" was an initiative of the 31st Women's Movement popular in the 90s geared toward educating the youth through story telling and singing.

Maame Dokono admitted she had some misunderstanding with the founder of the movement, Former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings and until that issue is thrashed out, she cannot host the program again.

According to Maame Dokono, she had an encounter with the the former lady during the launch of the program but there was no exchange of friendly pleasantries between them.
