The Greater Accra regional executive of the party took the decision to suspend the two following allegation of verbal attack on them during the NDC primaries.
This means that the two constituencies do not have parliamentary candidates for the 2016 elections.
But Mr. Lawson insisted that the regional executive do not have the power to take such action.
Mr. Koku Anyidoho who is also a Deputy General Secretary speaking to Accra-based Starr FM said, the regional branch failed to seek approval of their decision from the national executives of the party adding that the two are still members of the party.
"What they did is constitutional but it has not been ratified by national. They are still parliamentary aspirants and they are still party members.
"The Greater Accra office, you could say, shot themselves in the foot by not waiting for ratification of the decision by the national office," he added.
