Hassan Ayariga who was speaking on Accra-based Starr FM explained that the EC communicated their disqualification to them through letters and therefore a demand for redress must be done through similar means and not dialogue.

Ayariga said that he has formally written to the EC to rescind its decision. He threatened to file a legal suit if the EC did not comply with his request.

Hassan Ayariga and Dr Nduom were both disqualified from contesting in the presidential race in the December polls. Both of them have indicated that the EC is not justified to disqualify them hence their different approaches in seeking redress.

While Dr Nduom is seeking for a five minutes meeting with the EC to iron out the ‘adminitrative errors’, Hassan Ayariga has sent a letter to the EC to rescind his decision.
