Net2 TV cameraman dies during Atomic junction gas explosion coverage

Unconfirmed reports suggest that a cameraman with Madina-based Net2 TV was the man who allegedly fell from the Atomic Junction overpass during last Saturday’s gas explosion.

The incident happened during the gas explosion within that enclave of the capital over the weekend.

According to Myjoyonline.com, the family of the deceased were at the morgue Monday to identify the body.

Though it is unclear what circumstances led to the death of the said cameraman, there are reports that he allegedly jumped to his death during the deadly explosion on Saturday.

Seven lives were lost while 132 others sustained several degrees of injuries, according to official reports.

Meanwhile, the Information Ministry has said out of the injured, at least 64 persons have been discharged, while 68 others are still receiving treatments.
