The 26-year-old was dismissed from the club after a year stint with the club plagued with injuries.

He played only 9 matches for Red Bulls from 2016 to 2017 and was loaned to affiliate club New York Red Bulls II where he played just 6 matches for the side.

Gideon Baah broke his leg in July 2016 which looked to be the beginning of his problems at the New York Club as he was sidelined for the rest of the year.

He incidentally sustained the injury in his first game for New York Red Bulls II.

In 2017, Baah had problems with injury recovery as he only played a few games with New York Red Bulls II getting to the end of this year.

The MLS club made an announcement on Monday as Gideon Baah was part of 10 players who were left out of the roster for the coming season for the side.

Gideon Baah tweeted a picture of himself at the club with the caption:

“Special thanks to the fans of @NewYorkRedBulls , you guys showed me so much love and for that am most grateful. Sad I wasn’t able to exhibit my abilities to the fullest at this club. Thanks to all. Honored”
