A gas explosion which occurred at Takoradi in the Western Region on Tuesday (May 9, 2017) morning has reportedly left over 30 people injured.

Takoradi-based Empire FM reports that the victims have been rushed to the hospital for treatment.
It is unclear what caused the explosion at the Ghonco Chinese company located on the Sekondi road.
The personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service are currently at the scene to put out the fire.
