Alleged Rape Victim, Ewurefe Withdraws Case

Sources at the Greater Accra Police Command have told citifmonline that, Ewurefe Orleans Thompson, the 19-year-old girl who accused ace broadcaster, Kwesi Kyei Darkwa (KKD) of rape has withdrawn the charges. The lady is said to have written to the court to withdraw the case. It is unclear whether the prosecutor will subsequently drop all charges against KKD who has been in police custody since December 28, 2014.

The victim alleged that she was raped during a fashion show at the African Regent Hotel.

Meanwhile,  the Human Rights court hearing the alleged rape case  involving ace broadcaster today has adjourned the case to Thursday January 15.
